    • PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of magnesium hydroxide from bitterns is provided to increase agitating speed and to shorten manufacturing time and collecting amount of the magnesium hydroxide. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of magnesium hydroxide from bitterns includes the following steps: diluting bitterns which includes the magnesium with a diluted solution; forming magnesium hydroxide particles by mixing an alkaline solution with the diluted bitterns; growing the magnesium hydroxide particles by agitating the mixture; adding seeds to the mixed solution; and maturing the mixture and isolating the precipitate through filtration to obtain the magnesium hydroxide. The diluent in the first step is water or seawater. The water or seawater is added at the ratio of 1:1-1:20 based on the bittern during dilution. The alkaline solution in the second step includes NaOH, and the mole ratio of the NaOH to the bittern is 1:1-1:5 during mixing.
