    • PURPOSE: A method for biologically fixing dissolved carbon dioxide in waste water and a composition employing the same are characterized in rapidly fixing carbon dioxide at room temperature, so that the fixing process of the method is simpler and more environmentally friendly than the chemical carbon dioxide immobilization technology. CONSTITUTION: A method for biologically fixing dissolved carbon dioxide in waste water comprises the steps of: enrichment-culturing microorganism derived from red algae nodules; and processing the enrichment-cultured microorganism in waste water and reacting the microorganism under the aerobic condition. The dissolved carbon dioxide in waste water is fixed by using a carbonate mineral.

    • The present invention relates to a method for biologically fixing dissolved strontium in contaminated water by means of rhodolith-derived microorganisms. The present invention provides a method for fixing the dissolved strontium in contaminated water, comprising: a step of enrichment culturing the rhodolith-derived microorganisms; and a step of treating the contaminated water with the enrichment cultured microorganisms to enable the microorganisms to react with the contaminated water, thereby fixing the dissolved strontium in the contaminated water as a strontium carbonate mineral. The method for biologically fixing the strontium according to the present invention is advantageous since it employs more simple and eco-friendly processes as compared to technologies for chemically fixing strontium. The method of the present invention fixes strontium at a high rate at room temperature, and is therefore sufficient to be applied to an industrial field. The method of the present invention enables strontium to be finally fixed in the form of strontium carbonate mineral, and therefore is effective in terms of recycling of resources.

CONSTITUTION: A method for the detoxification of an asbestos board and the fixation of carbon dioxide comprises the following steps. An asbestos board is pulverized. The pulverized asbestos board is put into a basic solution to form an asbestos board solution. Carbon dioxide is injected into the asbestos board solution to be fixed. The asbestos board in which the carbon dioxide is fixed is heat-treated and the asbestos is made harmless. The fixation of carbon dioxide is accelerated by maintaining the asbestos board solution at 100-150 deg. C and 0.1-0.5 MPa.
