    • PURPOSE: An MRI contrast media and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to obtain MRI contrast media at high yield through simple process and to apply in electric-chemical catalyst and pharmaceutical field. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic resonance image contrast media of paramagnetic dinickel mycrocyclic complex is denoted by chemical formula 3. In chemical formula 3, R is alkyl, hydroxyl, or nitrile and Y is monovalent anion. A method for manufacturing the contrast media comprises: a step of reacting the nickel(II) complex compound of chemical formula 1 with oxalic acid in a ratio of 2:1 to obtain a compound of chemical formula 3; a step of reacting the oxalate with the nickel(II) complex compound of chemical formula 2; and a step of adding NaClO4, NH4PF6, NaBF4, or LiCF3SO3 to obtain a compound of chemical formula 3. The first reaction is performed at 50°C-100°C for 30-50 minutes. The second reaction is performed at 50°C-100°C for 10-40 minutes.
