    • PURPOSE: A cable winding monitoring method is provided to monitor alignment state of a cable reeled in a bobbin by accurately detecting a changed reeling point of the cable through image data obtained by a camera on a real time basis. CONSTITUTION: A cable winding monitoring method comprises following steps. A laser beam of a flat shape is irradiated on a cable(20) reeled on a rotating bobbin and an entered cable to be reeled. Image data of measured side formed by the laser beam irradiated on the cable is obtained. The image data is processed and the image of the entered cable and the reeled cable is extracted. The extracted image coordinate value of the image is actually converted into the coordinate of a spatial coordinate system. The radius of curvature and the circle center coordinates on the image of the reeled cable and the entered cable are detected using changed real space coordinate value. The straight line passes through the center coordinates of the pattern by the image of the entered cable. The center coordinate of a cable pattern located to be closest to the straight line is determined as a reeling point.
