    • PURPOSE: An airbag folding device and method are provided to reduce the time for folding an air bag and improve the deployment capability of an air bag cushion. CONSTITUTION: An airbag folding device comprises a retainer fixture(20), a plurality of erecting blades(30), a tether pole(40), and a cushion pushing and folding holder(60). The retainer fixture fixes an airbag assembly including a cushion(11). The erecting blades are connected to the circumference of the retainer fixture in order to stand the circumference of the cushion up and allowed to rotate. The tether pole is formed into a pillar shape and moves to the cushion along an axis(41). The cushion pushing and folding holder is installed having a gap with the retainer fixture and moves along the axis.
