CONSTITUTION: A mold for a sheet comprises a lower mold(300), a flat upper mold(1), and an elastic flat sheet(10). The lower mold comprises a sheet forming mold. The flat sheet adheres to the flat upper mold. A sheet(2) is mounted on the lower mold and the flat sheet of the upper mold is pressed in a mold groove of the lower mold and a sheet mold is formed.

    • PURPOSE: A mold manufacturing method is provided to reduce the cost and time of manufacturing an upper mold by enabling a mock-up used for producing a lower mold to be reused for producing the upper mold by NC-machining of the mock-up. CONSTITUTION: A mock-up(10) is produced by NC-machining a urethane resin block using skin data relating to a surface shape of a product including its thickness. The NC-machined mock-up(10) is put into a pre-prepared outer frame(11). A lower mold(14) is produced by coating the upper surface of the mock-up(10) with gel and applying epoxy thereto two times. An upper mold(20) is produced by NC-machining the outer surface of the mock-up(10) to remove the thickness portion and bosses of the product which were included for producing the upper mold(20) during the process of manufacturing the mock-up(10).

    • PURPOSE: A resin transfer molding method of fiber reinforced plastic by using upper and lower molds having a handle is provided to improve productivity in comparison with an existing resin transfer molding (RTM) method and to mold various sizes of fiber reinforced plastic products by using one mold. CONSTITUTION: A resin transfer molding method of fiber reinforced plastic by using upper and lower molds comprises a lower mold (10), an upper mold (20), a resin injecting valve, one or more vacuum absorbing valve, and two or more handles (60). The lower mold has two or more vacuum grooves. The upper mold is connected to the top of the lower mold in a complementary shape and forms the vacuum groove. The resin injecting valve injects the resin inside a space formed as the upper and lower molds are engaged. The vacuum absorbing valve is installed to remove the air inside the vacuum grooves and the space. The handle is installed to one among the lower mold and the upper mold and operators can hold the handle by hand.
