    • PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing non woven fabric for automobile transmission oil filter is provided to improve stability during product producing process and reduce manufacturing cost by using ammonia solution as catalyst and improve properties of the filter by adding poly vinyl alcohol and synthetic rubber latex to phenol adhesive. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a mixing process of mixing phenol with formalin; adding casein that is an emulsifier and ammonia solution that is a catalyst to the mixture; increasing temperature of the mixed solution from an ordinary temperature to a temperature of 85 to 95 deg.C for 55 to 65 min; cooling the condensation reacted mixed solution after condensation reacting the temperature increased mixed solution at a temperature of 85 to 95 deg.C for 220 to 260 min; forming an aqueous phenol adhesive by adding 50 to 60 wt.% of water to the condensation reacted mixed solution; adjusting content of the phenol adhesive by passing the non woven fabric containing the phenol adhesive through rollers after spraying the phenol adhesive onto non woven fabric or impregnating the non woven fabric with the phenol adhesive; and slowly hardening the dried non woven fabric after drying the phenol adhesive content adjusted non woven fabric.
