CONSTITUTION: The damping composition of a car engine cover for the reduction of noise is composed of glass fiber of 15 to 35 percent by weight, and mica of 10 to 20 percent by weight on the basis of a polyamide resin substrate of 100 percent by weight. The polyamide resin is selected among polyamide 66, polyamide 6, polyamide 66/6, copolymer, and polyamide 46. The mica has a plate form, an aspect ratio of 70 to 100, a length of 1.1 to 2.6 micrometers, and a diameter of 70 to 300 micrometers.

The central portion of the hub(10) is formed in a cylindrical shape and the remaining portion of the hub(10) is formed in a frustum shape. A plurality of perforating holes(14) are formed in the conical portion of the hub(10). The perforation holes(14) allow resin to easily flow when an injection molding process is carried out.
