    • A method for preventing a pedestrian accident is provided to prevent traffic accidents in advance, by controlling the steering and braking of a vehicle based on positional information of pedestrians or vehicles recognized as slaves. An inquiry and pairing process is repeated for a predetermined time. In the inquiry and pairing process, neighboring slaves(12~15) are continuously searched through communication between vehicles by using Bluetooth or Zigbee. Two masters(10,11) are mounted on a vehicle to determine a position of each slave based on a distance from the vehicle. It is determined whether the slave is positioned on the right side or the left side of the vehicle while a pairing process is formed between the slave and the vehicle. A rotation angle and a stopping distance of the vehicle are reduced by controlling the steering and braking of the vehicle based on positional information of the slave.
