The transmission gear is mounted in the main shaft to rotate. The clutch gear implemented with the transmission gear as one body includes a corn part. The synchronizer ring having a protruding part at outer periphery thereof performs synchronization operation through friction with the corn part. The spring having a groove for receiving the protruding part pushes the synchronizer ring by protruding along outer periphery in order to insert into grooves of the sleeve.

    • A synchronizer of a manual transmission is provided to reduce the number of the components by employing a sleeve with grooves and transmission member instead of a synchronizer ring and a corn unit. A synchronizer of a manual transmission comprises a hub(5), a sleeve(9), a transmission member(11), and a speed gear(13). The hub is connected with a spline(3) of a main shaft(1). The sleeve, which is located outside the hub, moves along a hub spline(7) axially. The transmission member, which is supported by an elastic member(11-1), has balls(11-2) contacting with the sleeve. The speed gear has a groove(13-1) to which the transmission member is inserted, and receives power from the sleeve. The sleeve has grooves(9-1) with which the balls contact to rotate the speed gear.

    • A parking brake is provided to increase usability of an inner room of a vehicle by omitting a separate parking brake device by enabling a transmission to operate as the parking brake device. A parking brake includes a main shaft(1), a hub(3), a sleeve(5), a control arm(7), a parking pin(9), and a parking lug(11). A front portion of the main shaft is connected to an engine, while a rear portion thereof is connected to rear wheels through a propeller shaft. The hub is integrated with the main shaft. The sleeve is spline-coupled on an outer periphery of the hub, such that the sleeve is moved in an axis direction on the hub. The control arm is connected to a transmission lever and moved between shifting and selecting modes. The parking pin confines the sleeve to prevent the rotation of the rear wheels. The parking lug fixes the parking pin and receives power from the control arm, such that the parking pin moves toward the sleeve.

The holder comprises a settling hole (22a) for settling the return spring and a cylinder (22-1) for accepting the elevation part. The synchronizer key touching part of the finger is formed with a stepped part for installing the synchronizer key to move in parallel. The finger fixing bolt fixes the finger which corresponds to the cut-out part of the body to the holder. The guide bolt is inserted into the connection hole (22-1a) of the cylinder from the outside of the holder to position the end thereof in the uneven groove of the body. The return spring is interposed between the bottom of the holder and the outer circumference of the elevation part to elastically support the holder.
