    • An active driving type display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent the deformation of a plastic substrate even when an amorphous silicon layer is crystallized using various crystallizing apparatuses, by forming an absorption layer for absorbing light or heat between plural buffer layers. A first buffer layer(211) is formed on a substrate consisting of a plastic material, wherein the first buffer layer prevents the deformation of the substrate due to heat or light applied to the substrate. An absorption layer(212) is formed on the first buffer layer, and absorbs the heat or light. A second buffer layer(213) is formed on the absorption layer, wherein the second buffer layer prevents the light or heat from being transferred to the substrate. An active layer(221) is formed on the second buffer layer. A thin film transistor(220) is formed on the active layer, wherein the thin film transistor has a gate electrode, a source electrode, and a drain electrode. A capacitor(230) and an organic electroluminescent element are electrically connected to the thin film transistor.

    • PURPOSE: A high brightness field emission display is provided to achieve improved field emission characteristics by lowering the drive voltage of field emitter and lengthening the scanning time. CONSTITUTION: A field emission display comprises pixels arranged into a matrix shape on a glass substrate. Each of pixels includes a ferroelectric transistor(200) formed on the glass substrate; and a thin film type field emitter(100) formed in the vicinity of the ferroelectric transistor. The ferroelectric transistor includes a band type gate; a ferroelectric film formed on the gate; a floating gate formed in parallel with the gate; an amorphous silicon channel formed by inserting an insulation film on the floating gate; a source and a drain formed on the amorphous silicon channel; and a source electrode and a drain electrode for connecting the source and the drain to an external terminal.

    • PURPOSE: A field emission display is provided to reduce a driving voltage by inputting scan and data signals to control elements of each pixel, and achieve improved luminance by applying a high voltage to an anode plate. CONSTITUTION: A field emission display comprises an anode plate(300) having a transparent electrode and a phosphor formed in a region of the transparent electrode; a cathode plate(100) having matrix signal lines for matrix addressing and pixels defined by the column and row signal lines of the matrix signal lines, wherein each of the pixels has a field emitter and a field emitter control element; a gate plate(200) having a gate hole penetrating through the gate plate, and a gate electrode arranged around the gate hole; and a spacer(400) for supporting the gate plate between the cathode plate and the anode plate. The field emitter of the cathode plate is opposed to the phosphor of the anode plate through the gate hole, and vacuum packaged.

    • An active matrix organic light emitting diode display panel circuit capable of reducing current and brightness nonuniformities between pixels by including a threshold voltage compensation circuit block between a data line and the pixels is provided. The threshold voltage of a video signal loaded in a data line is compensated for while the video signal passes through the threshold voltage compensation circuit block and then provided to a driving transistor of the pixels. One threshold voltage compensation circuit block is connected commonly to a plurality of pixels, rather than be connected to every pixel, so that threshold voltage compensation can be achieved for high-quality, large-sized displays, without increasing the number of transistors for the pixels.

    • PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a display pixel with a two-story capacitor is provided to reduce the area of pixel occupied by a capacitor by using a two-story capacitor instead of a single-story capacitor. CONSTITUTION: An active layer(200) is formed on a substrate. A gate oxide layer(202), a gate layer(204) and a capping layer(206) are sequentially deposited on the active layer. The gate layer and the capping layer are etched to form a gate. A spacer is formed on the side surface of the gate. An ion implantation process is performed on the upper surface of the resultant structure. A conductive layer is deposited on the resultant structure to form the capacitor between the conductive layer and the gate and between the gate and the active layer.

    • 본 발명은 전계 방출 소자에 관한 것으로, 특히 메쉬 게이트를 구비한 삼극형 전계 방출 소자에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 탄소나노튜브를 이용하되, 구동 전압의 증가를 방지하면서 누설 전류 특성 및 전자빔의 집속도를 확보할 수 있는 삼극형 전계 방출 소자 및 그를 이용한 전계 방출 디스플레이를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 탄소나노튜브를 이용한 전계 방출 소자의 경우, 동작 전압을 낮게 가져가기 위해서는 삼극형 전극 구조를 적용해야 한다. 이때 추출 전극이 전자 방출원에 대하여 어떠한 구조를 가지는 지에 따라 동작 특성이 크게 달라진다. 본 발명에서는 추출 전극이 그 상부에 제공되며, 탄소나노튜브 혼합물 어레이의 위치에 대응하여 다수의 구멍을 구비하되, 구멍 상단부의 크기가 하단부의 크기보다 작은 절연성 메쉬 게이트 판을 이용하여 방출된 전자빔의 집속도를 크게 높이고, 누설 전류를 억제한다. 한편, 본 발명은 보조 전극을 추가하거나 각 전극의 형태를 최적화하여 전자빔의 집속도 및 누설 전류 특성을 최적화할 수 있다.
