    • PURPOSE: A mechanical face seal is provided to maintain the excellent oblateness at a high pressure and to uniformly distribute the contact force to a seal ring and a face ring by adding a taper cut and an inner cut. CONSTITUTION: A taper cut(22a) to be faced to a face ring(21) at a certain angle is formed in the inner face of a seal ring(22) in a stator. The seal ring is faced to the face ring. An inner cut(22b) is formed inside the seal ring to maintain the oblateness of a sealed face at a high pressure by reducing the force to the face ring through the seal ring and reducing the thermal transformation at the high pressure. Thereby, the sealing is performed effectively.
