    • PURPOSE: A switch control device is provided to prevent the latching of output signals by responding to abnormality of power supply voltage by compensating the slope of a high voltage control signal. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary power unit(100) creates secondary power supply voltage by charging parasitic capacitor with power supply voltage. A control pulse generating unit(200) produces set pulse and reset pulse according to input signals to control the switching operation of a power switch. An output unit(400) synchronizes with the set pulse and creates gate signals which turn on a power switch. The output unit synchronizes with the reset pulse and creates the gate signals which turn off the power switch. The auxiliary power unit includes a diode including the cathode electrode connected to one end of the parasitic capacitor and the anode electrode which is inputted with the power supply voltage.

    • A ballast integrated circuit is provided to automatically perform zero voltage switching by controlling a dead time without changing a frequency according to a load status. A ballast integrated circuit(300) includes two input terminals and six output terminals(VB,HO,VS,VDD,LO,GND). A voltage/current converter(302) controls an output current(Io) by adjusting a resistor(RRT). A variable gain amplifier(304) generates an output current(IVGA) by amplifying a gain determined by an output current(VVGA) of a preheating/ignition controller(308). A triangular oscillator(306) performs triangular oscillation by charging/discharging a connected capacitor(CT) and outputs a clock wave(CLK) and a reversed clock wave(CLK). The preheating/ignition controller(308) determines a preheating time and an ignition time. An active zero voltage switching controller(310) determines a switching status and a voltage in the second input terminal(CPH). An edge detector(312) generates a rising/falling information signal(ED). A high-side driver(316) generates a high-side output signal(HO) to drive a first switching device(121). A low-side driver(318) generates a low-side output signal(LO) to drive a second switching device(122). A mode detector(320) determines whether the ballast integrated circuit is in a dead-time control mode or not by detecting completion of a preheating mode and an ignition mode. An under voltage lock-out(322) detects whether the ballast integrated circuit normally operates or not by detecting a power voltage.

    • PURPOSE: A current power circuit independent of a temperature is provided to obtain the good quality of current power by implementing the part of performing the function of NTAT current power and the part of performing the function of PTAT current power at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A current power circuit independent of a temperature includes a first transistor(Q10), a second transistor(Q20), a third transistor(Q30) and a second resistor(R20). The first current is inputted to the first terminal of the first transistor. The second terminal of the first transistor is connected to the ground. A portion of the second current is outputted from the first terminal of the second transistor. The second terminal of the second transistor is connected to the ground through the first resistor and the control terminal of the second transistor is connected to the control terminal of the first transistor. The remnant of the second current is outputted by connecting the first terminal of the third transistor to the first terminal of the second transistor. The second terminal of the third transistor is connected to the control terminal of the second transistor, and the control terminal of the third transistor is connected to the first terminal of the first transistor. And, the second resistor is connected between the control terminals of the first and the second transistors and the ground.
