    • PURPOSE: A method for producing an additive soft mold and a method for forming barrier ribs are provided to prevent the camber or damage on a substrate and achieve improved uniformity of height of barrier ribs, while allowing for an ease of removal of mold. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing an additive soft mold for formation of barrier ribs of a plasma display panel, comprises a first step of depositing a photoresist on the surface of a rear surface substrate(50); a second step of forming a basic mold frame by forming photoresist patterns through the use of a photomask where barrier rib patterns are formed; a third step of injecting a rubber material in a solution state into the basic mold frame; a fourth step of solidifying the rubber material; a fifth step of separating the solidified rubber material from the basic mold frame; and a sixth step of forming a through hole at the rear surface of the rubber material which is solidified and separated.

    • PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a micro capsule type electrophoretic display panel to be driven by external fields is provided to uniformly fill micro capsules serving as micro pixels in barrier grooves of a structure in the barrier rib pattern, thereby realizing the high resolution. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a micro capsule type electrophoretic display panel to be driven by external fields includes the steps of forming electrodes by etching ITO electrodes formed on a lower substrate(200). A photoresist layer is formed with a dry thickness of 100-150§­ on the electrodes. After positioning a patterned mask on the photoresist layer, micro capsule filling barrier rib pattern is formed of the photoresist material by UV exposure and development. Around the lower substrate formed with the barrier rib pattern, a seal layer(220) having an inlet(215) and an outlet(216) is formed for injecting a mixture solution of micro capsules and UV curing solution. In the seal layer, barriers(231) are formed to be disposed by pixel interval. As ultrasonic vibration is applied to a panel the micro capsules(313) are smoothly inserted into spaces(250) between the barriers to be accurately arranged in lines and rows. After inspecting whether the micro capsules are uniformly filled in the spaces in one stage, an upper substrate formed with transparent electrodes for covering the micro capsules is attached to the lower substrate. UV light is radiated for fixing.

    • PURPOSE: A photosensitive barrier rib paste composition containing barrier rib powder surface treated with fumed silica particles is provided, which increases exposure efficiency without raising the sintering temperature of paste in forming of barrier rib pattern for plasma display panel by a photolithographic process. CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive barrier rib paste comprises 8-20wt.% of one or more of multifunctional monomers and multifunctional polymers, 5-20wt.% of binder polymer based on cellulose and acrylate, 10-23wt.% of solvent, 1-2wt.% of photoinitiator, 60-80wt.% of inorganic barrier rip powder surface treated with fumed silica, and optionally 0.5-5wt.% of additives such as photo intensifier, dispersant, silicon-based defoamer, etc. The paste is prepared by the following steps of: (i) preparing inorganic barrier rip powder(2-5micrometer) surface treated with fumed silica particles(5-500nm) by ball milling 40-60wt.% of glass frit, 10-25wt.% of ceramic powder(Al2O3, CaO, Cr2O3, etc.), 0.1-1wt.% of fumed silica particles and optionally 0.05-0.1wt.% of black pigment for 10-60min, baking mixed powder at 100-150deg.C for 10-30min, and ball milling again; (ii) preparing a photosensitive vehicle containing at least one compound selected from multifunctional monomers and multifunctional polymers, photoinitiator, additive, polymer binder and solvent; (iii) mixing prepared powder and photosensitive vehicle and dispersing. The barrier rib pattern for plasma display panel is formed by the following steps of: (i) coating the paste on the substrate coated with dielectrics in a thickness of 150-250micrometer; (ii) drying at 50-130deg.C for 5-30min.; (iii) exposing the paste to ultraviolet ray using a photomask; (iv) forming barrier rib pattern; (v) sintering at 450-600deg.C for 20-30min.

    • 본 발명은 마이크로 캡슐형 전기영동 디스플레이(electrophoretic display)의 패널을 제조하는 방법에 관한 것으로, ITO (Indium Tin Oxide)전극이 형성된 하부기판에 미세 화소로 작용하는 마이크로 캡슐을 단층의 직선(Stripe)형태로 충진할 수 있는 격벽(Barrier rib)패턴을 형성하는 제 1 단계와; 상기 격벽 내부에 마이크로 캡슐들이 분산된 자외선 경화형 단량체 혼합액을 주입하여 충진 및 정렬하는 제 2 단계와; 상기 마이크로캡슐의 단층 균일 충진 및 배열 정도를 검사하는 제 3 단계와; 상기 마이크로 캡슐이 충진된 격벽의 상부에 전극이 형성된 상부기판을 부착하고, UV광을 조사하여 전기영동형 디스플레이의 패널을 제조하는 제 4 단계로 구성된다.
      본 발명은 마이크로 캡슐형 전기영동 디스플레이의 미세 화소로 작용하는 마이크로 캡슐들을 20 ~ 50㎛의 상부폭, 100∼150㎛의 높이, 100∼150㎛의 간격을 가지는 직선상 격벽 형태의 반복된 구조물의 격벽 홈통 내에 균일하게 충진 배열된 패널 형태로 제조함으로서 고해상도 및 고균일도 전기영동 디스플레이를 구현할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
