    • PURPOSE: A Phellinus linteus strain KM-4(KACC 93009) is provided which has an improved taste and flavor, and can be added to a food to improve its taste and flavor. CONSTITUTION: A Phellinus linteus strain KM-4 (KACC 93009) is provided, wherein Phellinus linteus strain KM-4 (KACC 93009) produces pale yellow mycelium; Phellinus linteus strain KM-4 (KACC 93009) is cultured in a potato-dextrose medium, a YM medium and a malt extract medium; and Phellinus linteus strain KM-4 (KACC 93009) is cultured in a medium containing 2 to 3% of sucrose and 0.5 to 1% of soybean powder at 150 to 200 rpm and 0.5 to 1 vvm for 4 to 5 days.
