    • A harmonic wave generating apparatus and a method of driving the same are provided to stably obtain a harmonic wave of light output from a laser diode by adjusting an electric current applied to the laser diode. A driving unit(100) applies an electric current to a laser diode(110) to drive the laser diode. The laser diode outputs an optical signal corresponding to the electric current applied from the driving unit. An optical waveform converting device(120) generates a harmonic wave of the light output from the laser diode. An optical detection unit(130) detects the light generated from the optical waveform converting device. A compensation signal transmitting unit identifies that the light detected by the optical detection unit is the harmonic wave of the light output from the laser diode.

Arranging the cylindrical micro lens(30) is performed by using a camera(20) while examining the light transmitted from the cylindrical micro lens(30) at a distance from the edge of the fiber bundle base(32).
