    • An apparatus and a method for detecting micro-particles and microorganisms using electromagnetic induction are provided to identify the micro-particles or the microorganisms in real time by using electrical characteristics of the micro-particles or the microorganisms. An apparatus for detecting micro-particles and microorganisms using electromagnetic induction includes first electrodes(211,212,213,214,215), second electrodes(221,222,223,224), a magnetic field generator(230), and a signal processor(250). The first electrodes detect an induced electromotive force induced by a fluid flowing in a flow pipe(203) and are arranged in the flow pipe. The second electrodes apply a current with a predetermined frequency to the fluid to measure impedance and are arranged in the flow pipe. The magnetic field generator generates a magnetic field in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the flow pipe. The signal processor is connected to the first and second electrodes and determines concentrations of micro-particles and microorganisms included in the flow by using the induced electromotive force and the impedance.

    • A detector for micro-organisms or micro-particles in real time using a charging method and a method thereof are provided to reduce a sensing time by removing a process of culturing a sample in a culture dish. A detector for micro-organisms or micro-particles in real time using a charging method includes a charging module(120), a collecting module(130), a pre-treating module(140), and a sensing module(150). The charging module charges the micro-organisms or the micro-particles introducing into the detector. The collecting module collects the micro-organisms or the micro-particles by using potential difference. The pre-treating module applies fluorescence materials to the micro-organisms or the micro-particles. The sensing module detects the micro-organisms or the micro-particles by irradiating light on the micro-organisms or the micro-particles and obtains a density of the micro-organisms or the micro-particles.
