    • The present invention relates to a portable terminal for synchronizing compressed content files, in which a plurality of source files are compressed as one format, with a synchronization server. The portable terminal according to the present invention comprises: a wireless communication unit for transceiving synchronization data related to the compressed content files by connecting to the synchronization server; a storage unit including source information for the source files which organize the compressed content files, and for storing the compressed content file and the compressed content information; and a control unit for detecting a synchronization request signal according to the change event occurrence of the compressed content file, for extracting at least one source files changed from the source files which organize the compressed content files using the source information, and for controlling the extracted source files to be synchronized only. According to the present invention, the compressed content synchronization method synchronizes the compressed content files, which are organized by compressing the source files as one format, with the synchronization server. The compressed content synchronization method comprises: a step of detecting a synchronization request signal regarding the change of the compressed content file; a step of extracting at least one changed source file among the source files which organize the compressed content file in response to the synchronization request signal; and a step of synchronizing at least one extracted source files.
