    • A driving circuit for a plasma display device is provided to perform a stable address discharge at high temperature by regulating the slope of ramp pulse applied during a reset period according to the temperature. A driving circuit for a plasma display device includes a constant current generator(21), a gate driver(22), and a slope setting unit(23). The constant current generator supplies constant current for applying ramp pulse to a PDP(Plasma Display Panel). The gate driver drives the constant current generator. The slope setting unit is connected between the gate driver and the constant current generator and sets a slope of the ramp pulse, and includes a first capacitor(C1) having capacitance which increases as temperature rises.

    • A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to decrease a discharge delay by compensating for priming particles by performing an erroneous discharge erasing process before a main reset period. A plasma display panel(100) includes first to third electrodes and plural discharge cells. A controller(200) classifies one frame into plural sub-fields with each weight and controls to perform a reset period, an address period, and a sustain period per each sub-field. When an accumulated operation time of the PDP is longer than a reference time, the controller performs an erroneous discharge prevention process right before a main reset period in the sub-field containing the main reset period. Drivers(300,400,500) drive the PDP according to a control signal from the controller. During the erroneous discharge prevention period, the controller supplies a second voltage to the first electrodes, while the second electrodes are maintained at a first voltage. Then, the controller applies a third voltage to the third electrodes. The second voltage is higher than the first voltage, while the third voltage is higher than the first voltage and lower than the second voltage.

    • PURPOSE: A method for displaying gray level of a plasma display panel and an apparatus thereof are provided, which reduces false contour noise effectively generated between moving picture gray levels. CONSTITUTION: An image signal processing part(100) generates digital image data by digitalizing an external image signal. A basic signal generation part(200) generates a basic signal on the basis of the above external image signal. And a sub field coding part(300) generates final gray data by applying diffusion filter value determined on the basis of a state of the basic signal generated in the basic signal generation part to gray data corresponding to the digital image data generated in the image signal processing part, and then outputs the final gray data to the plasma display panel.
