    • PURPOSE: A fuel supply device in form of a common-rail system of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine is provided to improve the reliable operation of the common-rail system, and secure flexible and modular structure with reduction in space. CONSTITUTION: In a fuel supply device in form of a common-rail system of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine, fuel is conveyed from a low-pressure region to a high-pressure region by a pumping device. The high-pressure region includes an accumulator line(16) comprising at least two separate accumulator units(5) connected one another by a supply line(6). Fuel injectors(9) for respective cylinders are connected to respective one of the accumulator units. Each accumulator unit has accumulator volume for about not more than two cylinders. An accumulator cover(7) is disposed to each end. All functional units are integrated to the accumulator cover with regard to fuel supply and transfer. An individual pump accumulator(4) is disposed to a high-pressure region between the pumping device and the integrated accumulator line with regard to flowing. The pump accumulator is hydraulically connected to the accumulator cover for transfer of fuel. The pumping device includes more than two high-pressure pumps or one high-pressure pump having more than two pump elements.
