CONSTITUTION: A sensor for detecting calcium ion contains calcium binding proteing-functionalized nanoparticles. The calcium binding protein causes aggregation of nanoparitcles. The calcium binding protein is calsequestrin. The nanoparticle is a gold nanoparticle(GNP). The diameter of the nanoparticle is 1-100nm. The sensor for detecting calcium ion is used for detecting calcium ion in blood, serum, or plasma sample. The sensor is a color-based detection sensor. A kit for diagnosing calcium-relating disease contains the sensor. A method for detecting calcium ion in a sample comprises: a step of contacting the sample to the sensor, and a step of analyzing calcium ion concentration.
