    • PURPOSE: A control device of an electromotive drying rack is provided to reduce thickness of the electromotive drying rack, thereby preventing collision with a user or a moving object. CONSTITUTION: A worm gear transfers rotational power of a rotational shaft of an electric motor(11) to a rotational shaft which rotates wire drums(18, 19). When laundry hanging bars are interrupted, the worm gear prevents the hanging bars from drooping down. An encoder measures a rotational angle and RPM of the rotational shaft. The encoder stops the hanging bars at a set position. A spur gear(30) increases the rotational power transferred from the worm gear, and stably moves the hanging bars. A diameter of a reduction gear is larger than that of the spur gear.

    • The invention relates to an actuating device for selecting shifting stages of a shift-by-wire gearshift mechanism. The actuating device comprises a selector lever that can be moved between at least one driving position and one parking brake position, the lever having stable selector lever positions, and a detent device with a spring-loaded detent element (6) and a detent link. According to the invention, the actuating device is characterized by a separating device having a thrust wedge (7) that is driven by an actuator. By means of the thrust wedge, the detent element (6) and detent link can be moved out of a first relative position, in which the detent element (6) engages in a switching track of the detent link, into a further relative position, in which the detent element (6) is not engaged in the switching track of the detent link. The invention provides for an automatic return of the selector lever into the parking brake position and thus provides the driver with optical and also tactile correct feedback about the actual shifting state of the transmission.

    • The invention relates to an arrangement for controlling a variator in a continuously variable transmission such as a vehicle transmission. The arrangement comprises a user operable ratio control part such as a lever 50 and a device for operatively coupling the ratio control part to a movable torque transfer part of the variator such as its rollers 18. The coupling device is, in the particular embodiment described, a hydro-mechanical arrangement. By moving the user operable ratio control part 50, the user exercises control over the variator ratio. In accordance with the invention the arrangement further comprises a torque release device such as a valve 60 which is operable by the user to decouple the ratio control part from the movable torque transfer part. By doing so, the torque release device offers functionality which is in some ways analogous to that of a clutch in a conventional stepped ratio vehicle transmission.
