    • An integrated loop type vehicle detecting apparatus and a parking information system using the same are provided to improve installation complexity, road cutting problem in installation, line disconnection problem between a loop coil and a vehicle detector, and impossibility in reusing previously installed loop coil. An integrated loop type vehicle detecting apparatus(100) comprises a body portion forming an outer shape of the apparatus. Differential loop coils(101,102) are formed in a closed curve shape at the top and bottom within the body portion. The distances between each loop coils and the vehicle to be detected differ from each other. Since the loop coils are arranged at the top and bottom and difference is generated in the distance to the bottom structure of the vehicle, an inductance evaluation unit(104) increases the vehicle detection sensitivity by using the difference of the change amount in the loop coils. A communication unit(105) receives a vehicle detection result from the inductance evaluation unit and transmits the result to an external device.

    • An apparatus and a method for discriminating an entry lane of a vehicle are provided to accurately discriminate an entry lane number of a vehicle to which a tag is attached, by using a phase interference method without installing additional master equipments for waking up each of RFID readers. Two reader antennas(100,102) perform RF(Radio Frequency) transmission/reception and phase detection respectively. An RF processing unit(140) demodulates RF response signals received through the reader antenna for RF transmission/reception. A phase difference detector(160) detects a phase difference between the RF response signals and generates and outputs a lane identification signal. A distribution unit(120) distributes the RF response signals to the RF processing unit and the phase difference detector. A switching unit(130) connects the RF reader antenna for transmission and reception to the distribution unit or the RF processing unit selectively. A reader control unit(170) extracts tag identification information from the RF response signal and processes the tag identification information.

    • A method for recognizing a license plate number of vehicles is provided to enhance a recognizing ratio of the license plate number of vehicles by using moving images filmed by a camera. It is determined whether a vehicle is entered or exited within a predetermined area(S100). Still images of the vehicle are filmed(S200). Character data of a license plate number of the vehicles and a still image recognizing ratio are extracted from the filmed still images(S210). It is determined whether the still image recognizing ratio excesses a boundary value(S220). When the still image recognizing ratio excesses the boundary value, recognized character data are outputted(S230). When the still image recognizing ratio is lower than the boundary value, moving images of the vehicles are filmed(S300). A license plate number area of the vehicles is extracted from respective frames of the filmed moving images(S310). Character data and a moving image character recognizing ratio are extracted from the license plate number area(S320). Frames, which a moving image character recognizing ratio excesses a boundary value of a moving image character recognizing ratio, are selected from the frames(S330). Then, the license plate number of vehicles is recognized based on the selection result.

A vehicle information detecting system using a calculated tread includes plural loop sensors and plural piezo sensors. The piezo sensors are disposed at a predetermined tilting angle between the loop sensors. The tread of a vehicle is calculated by the tilted piezo sensors. The piezo sensors include a forward piezo sensor(220) and a backward piezo sensor(220'). The forward piezo sensor is disposed in the extended line of the loop sensors in a vertical direction. The backward piezo sensor is disposed at a predetermined tilting angle with respect to the forward piezo sensor.
