    • PURPOSE: A piezoelectric ceramic composition for parts feeders is provided, which has 1800-2400 of dielectric constant, low impedance and high electromechanical coupling coefficient at low sintering temperature by adding Cd to conventional piezoelectric ceramic materials. CONSTITUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic composition expressed by a formula of Pb1-xCdx(Ni1/3Nb2/3)y(ZrzTi1-z)1-yO3 (x=0.01-0.02, y=0.10-0.20 and z=0.44-0.53) is prepared by the following steps of: mixing PbO, CdO, NiO, Nb2O5, ZrO2 and TiO2 in the proportions corresponding to the above composition; ball-milling mixed powder and calcining at 850-1100deg.C; ball-milling calcined powder and forming under pressure of 1000kg/cm2; sintering at 1100-1250deg.C for 1-4hrs. The resultant piezoelectric ceramic composition for parts feeders has 1800-2400 of dielectric constant, more than 50% of electromechanical coupling coefficient, and more than 300pC/N of piezoelectric constant(d33).

    • PURPOSE: A quartz glass coated with Y2O3, plasma-resistant member for a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus, is provided. The coating layers formed with Y2O3 prepared by sol-gel process have high porosity to reduce residual stress formed on the quartz preform. CONSTITUTION: The plasma-resistant member, quartz glass coated with Y2O3, has a quartz preform, a dense first Y2O3 layer formed on the quartz preform, a porous second Y2O3 layer between quartz preform and the first layer. The porous Y2O3 coating layer(more than 95% of porosity) is formed by the following steps of: (a) spin coating a quartz preform with Yttrium(Y) solution prepared by sol-gel process; (b) thermal-treating quartz preform coated with Y-solution at a lower temperature than the crystallization temperature of Y2O3, 600 deg.C; (c) quenching the preform to room temperature, preferably at a rate more than 300deg.C/min; (d) thermal-treating the quenched preform over the crystallization temperature(1000deg.C) and cooling slowly. The dense Y2O3 coating layer(37% of porosity) is formed by coating the porous Y2O3 layer with Y-solution, thermal-treating quartz preform coated with Y-solution at lower than 600deg.C, cooling slowly to room temperature, thermal-treating at 1000deg.C and cooling slowly. The thickness of layers is controlled by repeating the steps of a-c.

    • PURPOSE: Provided is a lead-free piezoelectric ceramics which can improve stability after being sintered, and prevent volatilization of PbO, thereby being environmentally friendly. The lead-free piezoelectric also has high specific gravity and good compaction property due to its homogeneous particle distribution and fine particles, and has improved dielectric constant and electric properties due to its optimized sintering and polarizing condition. CONSTITUTION: The lead-free piezoelectric ceramics is represented by the following formula 1 having a Perovskite structure: (A1/2B1/2)1-xCxTiO3, wherein A is Bi, Y or Sb ion; B is K or Na ion; C is Ca, Ba or Ni ion; x is an integer in the range of 0.0005-0.10. The piezoelectric ceramics is prepared by carrying out a first milling and calcination of a mixture of A, B and C at 600-1100 deg.C for 0.5-5 hours, wherein A is selected from Bi2O3, Y2O3 and Sb2O3; B is selected from K2CO3 and Na2CO3; C is selected from CaCO3, BaCO3 and NiO3 to obtain a first powder; and adding TiO2 to the first powder, and then carrying out a second milling and calcination at 600-900 deg.C for 0.5-5 hours to obtain a second powder.

The alumina purity of a sintered ceramic substrate is 88-96%.

The engobe bricks are produced by the following steps of: mixing the above composition with water in a weight ratio of 1 : 0.6-0.8; coating dried bricks with the mixture; sintering at 1170-1210deg.C to be less than 10% of water absorption. The color of sintered engobe bricks has the values, L*=60-90, a*=1-90 and b*=35-70.
