    • PURPOSE: An OAM PDU processing method and a device thereof using the routing information and a multi COT system are provided to minimize the IP resource required for a connection by making the operation possible if specific COT of many COTs is only connected to CIT/OSS. CONSTITUTION: An OAM PDU processing device(200) includes a receiving unit(210), an OAM PDU processing unit(220), and a transmission unit(230). The receiving unit receives OAM PDU. The OAM PDU includes the routing information about the OAM PDU transmission path, the execution result information about whether the OAM is executed or not, and the OAM information related to the destination information and operation or management. The OAM PDU processing unit performs the pre-set OAM PDU process operation according to one or more information among information included in the OAM PDU. The transmission unit transmits the information generated according to the OAM PDU process operation to the other COT.

    • PURPOSE: A ring-type optical network for burst data communication is provided to be suitable for transmitting mass data having a burst characteristic by performing communication on the basis of a frame including burst data and header data. CONSTITUTION: A demultiplexing unit(120) demultiplexes a received optical signal into a plurality of channels according to wavelengths. An add/drop unit(130) drops a selected channel among a plurality of the channels according to a control signal. A multiplexing unit(140) multiplexes a plurality of the channel inputted through the add/drop unit(130). A branch unit(150), allocated between the demultiplexing unit(120) and the add/drop unit(130), branches a part of each channel. A control unit(170) recognizes a destination of a frame modulated in each channel from the branched channels, and outputs the control signal to the add/drop unit(130) for dropping the selected channel.

    • PURPOSE: An IPOW(Internet Protocol Over WDM) structure is provided to route and transmit a high speed packet for satisfying a bandwidth and a QoS(Quality of Service), so as to easily perform a network configuration. CONSTITUTION: Sub-rings(26) connect n terminals having allocated inherent use wavelengths. A main ring(23) connects n connection nodes having allocated inherent use wavelengths which are connected with the sub-rings(26). A sub-ring control system(24) is located between one sub-ring and the main ring(23), and controls a packet stream transceived within the sub-ring and a packet stream transceived between the sub-ring and the main ring(23). A main ring control system(22) controls a packet stream transceived within the main ring(23). The terminals and the connection nodes add and drop signals of the inherent use wavelengths only. The sub-ring control system(24) and the main ring control system(22) drop and demultiplex entire WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) signals of the sub-rings(26) and the main ring(23), and load the WDM signals into an inherent use wavelength of a destination terminal, then multiplex the WDM signals to transmit the WDM signals to the sub-rings(26) and the main ring(23). The sub-ring control system(24) adds an identification code of a sub-ring included in the destination terminal to a transmission packet, and transmits the WDM signals to the main ring(23).

    • A method for operating a multi-ring network and an apparatus therefor are provided to connect a plurality of ring networks regardless of protection methods which each ring network uses, and make quick recovery possible even when a network failure occurs.
