摘要： A presence aware communications system, comprising a messaging system configured to perform at least one of the following operations: (a) provide a subscriber's communication device with information regarding an incoming contact during a messaging session between the subscriber's communication device and the messaging system; (b) provide the subscriber's communication device with a text message containing information regarding one or more messages when a notification is received that the subscriber's communication device is available; (c) provide the subscriber's communication device with a text message relating to a voice message from a different first party received by the messaging system; (d) in response to the subscriber's communication device requesting a connection with at least one of an inputted telephone number and address, provide the subscriber's communication device with a notification respecting at least one eligible message from a second party associated with the at least one of an inputted telephone number and address; (e) while a contact between the subscriber and a different third party is in progress, provide the subscriber's communication device with information respecting the at least one eligible message from the third party; (f) transform an audio messaging session between the messaging system and the communication device of a contacting party into a graphical user interface-based audio session; and (g) transform the audio messaging session into a session having a video channel or both audio and video channels.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of performing communication between two terminals via an IP transfer network that encapsulates and transfers an IP packet, and capable of configuring a large-scale public IP telephone switching network by specifying the IP address of a server that controls to connect communication using a telephone number of a destination terminal.SOLUTION: The IP communication network comprises logical terminals, and a terminal T1 and a terminal T2 are connected to a logical terminal L1 and a logical terminal L2, respectively. A dedicated virtual channel is determined between the logical terminals L1 and L2 based on a telephone number of the terminal T2 that is transmitted from the terminal T1 to the IP network. IP packets are transmitted and received between the terminal T1 and the terminal T2 via the dedicated virtual channel. From the terminal T1 or the terminal T2, a release of telephone communication is transmitted to delete the dedicated virtual channel. Further, based on the telephone number, a telephone number server specifies the server IP address that manages communication of a destination terminal, and a server that manages communication of a source-side terminal and a server that manages communication of a destination-side terminal perform communication connection control between the source-side terminal and the destination-side terminal.

摘要： A method of setting up a call between first and second nodes of a communication system when the call extends across a circuit switched access network and a packet switched backbone network interconnected by a Media Gateway. A control node obtains from a Home Subscriber Server, the identity of a Media Gateway Control Function controlling that Media Gateway which will terminate the call within the circuit switched access network. The first node calls an access number notified to it by the Media Gateway Control Function, and as part of the call setup procedure, the identity of the Media Gateway selected to terminate the call is communicated to the second node.

摘要： A method and arrangement for establishing a conference call from a mobile station in a call centre environment. A user may choose conference call participants from his mobile phone, and a client application in the mobile phone will communicate relevant parameters to the call centre server, which will then call the conference initiator and other participants via the gateway server. The calls are handed over to the gateway server, which will digitize each call to an audio and/or video stream, typically an RTP stream. The streams are relayed to a computer where the streams are combined to form a successful conference call. The conference call is then recorded to a data file on the computer, and may be sent to participants or stored to a database with relevant metadata. The network infrastructure of the telecommunications network operator need not be consulted, nor is there any need for additional hardware.
