    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker unit capable of forming the compact size of a switching mechanism in the widthwise direction, while it is designed as a movable contact of fast switching operation in comparison with the structure of a fixed contact.
      SOLUTION: The circuit breaker unit is provided with a spring pin 17 fixed to another end of a link 15, a main spring 18 with one end fixed to the spring pin 17 and another end fixed to a handle 7 or to a member movable in accordance with the movement of the handle 7, and a rotatably supported lever 20 having a contact 23 directly or indirectly in contact with the spring pin 17 for holding the spring pin 17 against the weight of the main spring 18. The unit can reduce the size of the switching mechanism in the widthwise direction without impairing characteristics as the contact breaker with reduction in space and cost.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize trip operation characteristics by simplifying the shape of a crossbar so as to improve its moldability, and by preventing unwanted sliding friction exerted between a pawl and a latch receiver in adjusting tripping current by axially moving the crossbar. SOLUTION: A trip crossbar 13 of a circuit breaker is provided between the operation end of a time limit tripping device and a latch receiver 12 connected to a latch 11 of a switch mechanism, and releases the latch 11 in response to the operation of an overcurrent tripping device. The trip crossbar 13 is composed of an insulating crossbar 15 and a pawl 21. The insulating crossbar 15 is journalled to a case 1 across poles, and on its shaft, an operation piece 16 opposite to an operation end of the overcurrent tripping device is formed. The pawl 21 latches and releases the latch receiver 12, according to rotational movement of the crossbar 15. The pawl 21 is rotatably supported separately from and parallel to the crossbar 15. An arm 21b projecting from the pawl 21 is abutted against the operation piece 16 of the crossbar 15 so that they are connected together.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker excellent in breaking performance also in productivity such as assembly workability. SOLUTION: This breaker is equipped with a movable contact shoe 8 constituted so as to make opening/closing action by an opening/closing mechanism, a fixed contact shoe 3 folded into a nearly J-shape, and arranged so that the tip part can face the movable contact hose 8, and a casing for housing the opening/closing mechanism and the movable and fixed contact shoe 8 and 3. The fixed contact shoe 3 has a wide width part, which is formed, having width wider than that of the tip part, on a position opposite to the tip part in a section from the folded part of a J form to the base end part of the J form, and an extracting hole, which is formed on the wide width part, and the casing has a projection in a position on which the fixed contact shoe 3 in the bottom surface of the casing is mounted, to insert the projection into the extracting hole, and also the tip part is supported by the projection. Thus a circuit breaker excellent in breaking performance and also in productivity such as assembling workability is obtained.
