    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overcurrent tripping device of a circuit breaker which prevents a delay in overcurrent tripping action to improve current-breaking performance. SOLUTION: Between a heater 9c disposed on a current path and a trip bar 24 of a switching mechanism 15, a bimetal 26 is disposed with its base end fixed to the heater and its front end extended toward the trip bar, and a runoff tab 27 is fixed to the tip of the bimetal with a free end thereof located near the trip bar. A flow of overcurrent through the current path causes the heater to generate heat so that the tip of the bimetal is heated and bent.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the assembling of a trip crossbar to thereby reduce working man-hours.
      SOLUTION: A circuit breaker comprises a latch receiver for locking a latch of a switching mechanism, and a trip crossbar for locking the latch receiver. The trip crossbar is rotatably supported by both side plates of a frame of the switching mechanism via a pin inserted to a shaft core. An end of the pin 6 inserted to the trip crossbar 1 is inserted to a pin hole 5 formed in one of the side plates of the frame 4, and the other end of the pin 6 is engaged in a pin groove 39 formed in the other side plate of the frame 4 by cutting. The trip crossbar 1 is thereby supported by the frame 4 and the pin 6 is held in the pin groove 39 by means of the pressing force applied to the trip crossbar 1 from the latch receiver. The assembling work for the trip crossbar 1 is facilitated since it is only necessary that only an end of the pin 6 inserted to the trip crossbar 1 in advance be inserted into the pin hole 5 of the frame 4 while the other end be engaged in the pin groove 39 of the frame 4.
