    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchange having a low ventilation resistance and an air conditioner showing a superior energy saving as well as a silent operating characteristic. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger is constructed to operate such that an air flow is fed into ventilation passages 13 between fins 12 from a direction inclined in respect to an axial direction of a heat transfer pipe 11. A direction of passage of at least an air inlet 13a of each of the ventilation passages 13 is inclined in respect to an axial direction of the heat transfer pipe 11 toward a flow direction of the air flow, wherein a passage direction of at least the air inlet 13a of each of the ventilation passages 13 is similar to a feeding direction of the air flow as near as possible, the air flow into the ventilation passages 13 is smoothly carried out, ventilation resistance at the ventilation passages 13 is restricted low and then a heat exchanging capability is improved due to assurance of air volume. In addition, in the case of the air conditioner provided with the heat exchanger 1, an energy saving characteristic and silencing effect are attained by reducing power of a centrifugal fan 2 and reduction in air blowing noise.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the fin efficiency and raise the heat exchange performance a great deal by constituting the cutting line of the row of plate-shaped fins with a curved line or bending line which runs farther from the heat transfer pipe with respect to the centerline in the row near heat transfer pipes and runs nearer to the heat transfer pipe with respect to the centerline in the row near the central section of the heat transfer pipes which are close to one another in the direction of steps. CONSTITUTION:Because a plate-shaped fin 11 is cut near a heat transfer pipe 2a to be farther from the heat transfer pipe 2a with respect to the centerline 3 in the rows, average heat transfer distance from the heat transfer pipe 2a to the surface of the plate-shaped fin 11 becomes short, giving better fin efficiency. Further, near the central section between the heat transfer pipe 2a and heat transfer pipe 2b which are mutually close in the direction of the steps the plate-shaped fin 11 is cut so as to be near the heat transfer pipes 2a and 2b with respect to the centerline 3 in the rows, and near the heat transfer pipe 3c which is near the heat transfer pipes 2a and 2b in the direction of the rows the plate shaped fin 11 is cut to be farther from the heat transfer pipe 2c with respect to the centerline 3 in the rows. Here, the outer pipe diameter D of the heat transfer pipes 2a and 2b is D >= 8.5mm and the ratio of the pitch Pr of the rows to the pitch Ph of the steps is Pr/Ph >= 0.7.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the heat absorbing and dissipating performance of a curtain wall by a structure wherein flat plates are placed vertically and parallel to one another at proper intervals and a plurality of heat transfer medium tubes vertically pierce through the flat plates. CONSTITUTION:One longer side of each rectangular flat plate 3 is bent downward and at the same time the other longer side is bent upward. The flat plates 3 are placed vertically and parallel to one another at proper intervals in such a manner that these longer sides of each flat plate lie along the horizontal plane and at the same time the shorter sides of each flat plate lie along the horizontal plane or along the inclined plane having a proper angle with respect to the horizontal plane. A plurality of heat transfer medium tubes 2 vertically pierce through said flat plates in order to constitute a curtain wall 1. Because air can freely flow between a space 7 and the outside air 8 and consequently heat is prevented from accumulating in the space 7, the heat absorbing and dissipating performance of the curtain wall 1 is improved. Further, because air can freely flow between the flat plates 3, the air-side surface heat conductivity of the flat plate 3 is improved, resulting in further improving the heat absorbing and dissipating performance of the curtain wall 1. Furthermore, the upward and downward bends at the ends 4 and 5 of the flat plate 3 prevent the rain water from entering a building.
