    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oiler and an oiling method for simply and surely feeding a certain amount of oil, and to provide gears and a timepiece.
      SOLUTION: An oiling means 40 is equipped with an oil hold part 41 having open cells. When pressing a hand-held intermediate wheel 113 against an oiling surface 411 of the hold part 41, oil held in the open cells exudes to be deposited on a presser bar spring 115 of the intermediate wheel 113. Since by only pressing it against the oiling surface 411, oiling can be conducted over the entire surface under oiling, enabling simplifying of oiling work, even when there are a plurality of oiling points. Further, the amount of oiling can be made constant, to provide stable oiling performance, since open cells hold a prescribed amount of oil.
