    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear wheel bearing device improving the workability of disassembling/assembling, and decreasing weight and size.
      SOLUTION: An outside joint member 8 integrally has a wheel mounting flange 12 for mounting a wheel at an end portion. At a base portion on an in-board side, a shoulder portion on which a plurality of rolling bearing 1 lines abuts, and a cylindrical small diameter stepped portion 14 extending in an axial direction from the shoulder portion 13 are formed. A plurality of the rolling bearing 1 lines is pressed in that, and fixed in the axial direction through a fixing nut 16, thereby being managed to be a predetermined pre-load amount. A plurality of linear track grooves 8a is formed on an inner periphery to structure a sliding type uniform universal joint 2. The maximum diameter thereof is set to be smaller than the inner diameter of a knuckle, and a pilot member 18 is pressed in an opening on an out-board side of an outside joint member 8. Recessed places 19a, 19b are formed on both side of the pilot member 18, thereby providing a column portion 19. The column portion 19 is positioned immediately under the wheel mounting flange 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity joint without increasing the size of a cage, and capable of ensuring a low slide zone in a wide range. SOLUTION: The center of curvature of an outer circumferential surface 18 of an inner joint member 12 of a constant velocity joint 10 is an arbitrary point O on the axis L to be driven. An inner circumferential surface 17 of a cage 13 connects a cylindrical surface 17a having the axial length A of a central part to a partial spherical surface 17b located on each side. The centers of curvature O4, O5 demarcate the cylindrical surface 17a from the partial spherical surface 17b, and are arranged at the position offset by the distance D in the radial direction from the axis L on the line orthogonal to the axis L to be driven. The radius R of curvature of the partial spherical surface 17b is larger than the radius (r) of curvature of the spherical surface of the outer circumferential surface of the inner joint member 12 (R>r). A clearance G1 in the axial direction to permit the axial displacement of the inner joint member 12 is formed between the inner joint member 12 and the cage 13.
