    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test method by which a totally enclosed separate valve test of a main steam isolation valve(MSIV) can be performed without a scram under rated operation. SOLUTION: Results of a starting characteristics test indicate that a main steam tube differential level could be a factor in a scram of a transient change when a totally enclosed separate valve test of a MSIV is performed. In consideration of a main steam tube rupture, this main steam tube differential pressure level is set to a differential pressure level approaching 130% of rated flow. Therefore, this test method distinguishes between one valve test closed, quickly closed, and error closed, irrespective of the main steam tube rupture, and changes the setting of the main steam tube differnetial level if appropriate. That is, a signal of the main steam tube differential pressure level 1 is inputted into a test SW 2, and thereby the setting value of the main steam tube differential pressure level is confirmed. Thereafter, the totally enclosed separate valve test of a MSIV is performed. A main steam tube differential pressure level setting value change 3 is selected, and thereafter the setting value of a main steam differential pressure level 5 is confirmed. When a signal of the main steam differential pressure level 5 is not inputted, a scram inoperative 6 is selected.
