    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter material for an air filter, in which a fiber-web mixed very thin fiber formed by the melt blowing process and thermally adhesive fiber is connected with the thermally adhesive fiber, capable of forming a sharp folding when forming an element for an air filter or an air filter unit, and capable of preventing a passage from being blocked by contacting filter materials near the folding due to the deformation of the filter material caused by the pressure of air which flows in.
      SOLUTION: The filter material for the air filter in which the very thin fiber formed by the melt blowing process and the thermally adhesive fiber formed of short fibers are mixed and component fibers are connected with the thermally adhesive fiber, wherein the thermally adhesive fiber is a core/sheath-type composite fiber whose low melting component forms a sheath and high melting component forms a core, and the weight ratio of the low melting component and high melting component is 55:45 to 75:25.

The folding table enables the approximately uniform supply of hot air to the curtain, the formation of good accurate folds on the curtain fabric, and the simple formation of the accurate folds. Both the end portions of the curtain can surely and uniformly be nipped to simply form the accurate folds on the curtain fabric.
