    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in an image recording device configured to transmit drive power to each of a plurality of drive parts, a switching means of drive transmission which never causes increase in size of the device or increase in load of a carriage. SOLUTION: A printer part 11 includes a drive transmission mechanism 70 which switches transmission of drive power from a motor. The drive transmission mechanism 70 includes an input lever 74 slidably supported by a support shaft 73, and a coil spring 65. An upper lever guide 83 is provided on the upper side of the support shaft 73, and a support guide 110 is provided further on the upper side. A lever 77 of the input lever 74 is inserted to a guide hole 86 of the lever guide 83 and to a guide hole 111 of the support guide 110. The guide hole 86 guides the lever 77 from a first guide position 88 to a third guide position 90 through a second guide position 89, and the guide hole 111 guides the lever 77 from the third guide position 90 to the first guide position 88 without through the second guide position 89.     • PURPOSE:To use an energy generated in a coil as an energy to reduce the power demand of a wire dot printer by a method wherein the energy generated in the coil is accumulated into a condenser, an electric current is inhibited from flowing a power source to the condenser, and the energy is converted to an AC by switching to be returned to the power source through a rectifying means. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 5 issues a signal keeping ON a lead-in means 7 only for a predetermined period of time, to the lead-in means 7 when stopping a drive signal. The lead-in means 7 is turned ON according to this signal and leads an energy generated in a coil 3 to a condenser 8. At this time, a breaking means 6 interrupts an electric current flowing from an power source E to the condenser 8. The control circuit 5 issues an ON/OFF switching signal with a high frequency to a switching means 9 when stopping the signal which have been sent to the lead-in means 7 for the predetermined time. The switching means 9 fetches the energy accumulated in the condenser 8 and intermits it by the switching signal. A trans 10 foosts the inputted high-frequency AC, and a rectifying means 11 rectifies the AC to issue it to the power source E.

By this circuit, the moment a MAOVDV signal generated the change of 0 1 at time t1 voltage V1 generates the change of V12 V11. As a result, VB lowers by voltage VD and VB4 comes to VB1 by the charging of the condenser C2. The over-drive current i1 of a magnet MG comes to a differentiation wave form and a holding current i2 is kept constant. In an open chopping system, Tr1 repeats ON-OFF by the cycle of 1, 0 of a MGDV signal to control the over-drive signal i1 to form the differentiation wave form.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a thermal printer reduced in noise and showing high printing accuracy, by setting the lower run part of a timing belt for intermittently revolving a platen to a belt tensioning side and providing a thermal head at a specific position.
      CONSTITUTION: The lower run part of a timing belt 5 is set to a belt tensioning side and a thermal head 7 is allowed to approach a platen 3 and arranged so as to make the printing surface thereof parallel to the tangential line of the peripheral surface of the platen 3. The angle 4, which is formed by a straight line (y) connecting the start point of the belt tensioning side at the belt wind-up part of the timing pulley 4 in the side of the platen 3 and the center of the pulley 4 and a straight line connecting the center of the thermal head and the shaft of the platen, is set to 60° or less to make axial force sufficiently small and the use of vibration dampening rubber is made unnecessary.
