    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniform strength in the overall length of a tube and an end part cap by injecting under pressure a ceramic material into an end part cap forming cavity and then into a back-filling storage part and further, injecting under pressure the ceramic material into the end part cap forming cavity from the storage part through a passageway to be compressed. SOLUTION: A body 10 has a passageway 16 which makes a cylindrical back-filling storage part 14 communicate with an end part cap forming cavity 12. A ceramic material is extruded into the end part cap forming cavity 12 to be pushed out through the passageway 16, and thus the forcing of the ceramic material into the back-filling storage part 14 is also achieved. The ceramic material forced into the back-filling storage part 14 is forcibly pushed back into the end part cap forming cavity 12 through the passageway 16 and consequently, is compressed so that the density of the ceramic material is substantially uniform. This substantially uniform density mitigates the degree of flaws caused by the internal discontinuity of an extrusion part material which is brought about by a spider support for a mandrel conventionally accommodated in an extrusion die.

    • PURPOSE:To mold a thin pipe at a favorable yield, by a method wherein body ends of a flexible boardlike body are superimposed upon each other, the outside of an inner mold obtained by bending the body cylindrically is covered with paper having hygroscopicity, the inner mold is set up within a plaster outer mold, in which ceramic slurry is filled, and the inner mold is wound up at the time of demolding. CONSTITUTION:A mold 1 comprises a bottom mold 2, right and left split molds 3, 4, an inner mold 5 and a top force 9. Circular grooves 6, 16 for fitting the inner mold 5 are defined in the bottom mold 2 and top force 9 and widths of the grooves 6, 16 are made wider than a thickness of two sheets of flexible boardlike bodies of the inner mold 5. When they are assembled, a cylindrical hollow is built up. An iron sheet is used for the inner mold 5, and Japanese paper 14 whose tensile strength is high is stuck to the outside, through which a form of the inner mold 5 is kept. The other molds are made of plaster. When slurry compounded with, for example, alumina, water, and deflocculant is poured into the mold 1, the slurry sticks to the plaster surface after the lapse of a period of time and a molded body contracts a little. At the time of demolding by winding the inner mold 5 into the inside, the Japanese paper 14 on the outside serve as release paper and the inner mold 5 is separated easily from the molded body.
