SOLUTION: A comparatively shallow flat tray-shaped can bottom part 7 on the peripheral edge of which erecting walls 6 are integrally provided, and for which respective corner parts R are made an arc surface, is formed on a blank which constitutes a can. Then, a side plate 10 is respectively connected to respective upper edges of the erecting walls 6 constituting the can bottom part 7, and the lower end of a seamed-coupled seaming part being obtained by a seaming-coupling means 9, between the side edges of respective side plates 10, is made to locate in the vicinity of the upper edge of each corner part to form the can bottom part.

The thread part of the screw rod 27 is divided in its middle part, threads are cut in the directions different to each other and when the screw rod is operated, the fixed members 14 located on both sides are approached to or separated from each other. The fixed die 12 can be set quickly at a suitable position according to the set position of the movable die 8.
