    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtration system and a method for washing the filtration system capable of effectively backwashing a floating filter medium layer by effectively dispersing a floating filter medium during backwashing while suppressing increase in size of the filtration system and installation cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a filtration system which comprises: a floating filter medium layer composed of a floating filter medium; a screen which is disposed on an upper side of the floating filter medium layer and prevents the outflow of the floating filter medium; a raw water inflow port and a backwash effluent discharge port which are disposed on a lower side of the floating filer medium layer; a filtration tank having a filtrate water storage part provided on an upper side of the screen; and a water agitating mechanism which ejects agitated water to the floating filter medium to disperse the floating filter medium when the floating filter medium layer is backwashed by discharging water in the filtration tank from the backwash effluent discharge port. In addition, the method for washing the filtration system includes a backwashing step of discharging water in the filtration tank from the backwash effluent discharge port to backwash the floating filter medium layer, and the backwashing step includes a water agitating step of spraying stirred water to the floating filter medium to disperse the floating filter medium.

    • PURPOSE:To almost perfectly excludes SS without using washing water, in washing a filter material having specific gravity of 1.0 or less and a large void ratio, by rapidly discharging water from the lower part of a filter tank while the filter material is held to a fluidized state by air washing. CONSTITUTION:In washing a solid-liquid separation apparatus using a filter material having specific gravity of 1.0 or less and a large void ratio such as plastic, water is rapidly drained from the lower part of a filter tank 12 until the whole of the filter material is exposed from the surface of the water while the filter material is held to a fluidized state as a whole by air washing. By this method, SS not only in the voids between filter materials but also in the void parts of the filter material itself is allowed to flow out to hold the filter material to a floating state and can be excluded without being again caught in the void parts of the filter material and SS can be almost perfectly excluded even when the filter material having a complicated shape is used. Further, since no washing water is used, sharp cost reduction can be achieved and equipment becomes simple and a space can be also reduced.
