    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separating device which separates even minute solid matter from flowing water efficiently and storing it in a recoverable condition by using a filter part constituted by a wedge wire screen, and prevents the filter part from being clogged.
      SOLUTION: The first separating device 1 is provided with: a separating tank 2; the filter part 7 partitioning the inside of the separating tank 2 into a flow-in chamber 5 and a flow-out chamber 6; a flowing water supply part 10 provided in the flow-in chamber 5; a flowing water drain part 10 provided in the flow-out chamber 6; and an impurity catching part 11 provided below the flow-in chamber 5. The filter part 7 is constituted by the wedge wire screen 8 formed by arranging a plurality of wedge wires 8a having wedge-like cross section in the vertical direction. A face on a flow-in chamber 5 side is formed by head parts 8d of each wedge wire 8a. A shape of arrangement of the head parts 8d is constituted to cause the flowing water supplied from the supply part to generate a swirl stream in the horizontal direction. An axial line S toward a tip part from the head parts 8d of each wedge wire 8a is inclined on the downstream side of the swirl stream.
