【解決手段】ディジタルカウンター５の回転軸に繋合された円筒状糸車６（以下、糸車という）の前後に波形スリット４ａまたはゴム等スリット１２ｂを配設し、糸巻２に巻かれた釣糸等の一端を引き出して該釣糸等を前方のスリットに挟持させ、糸車に１〜２回巻きつけた後、後方のスリットに挟持させ、該釣糸等を所要の糸巻や仕掛巻に巻取ることによって該糸車を駆動させてディジタルカウンターの回転軸を回転せしめ、その表示数字から糸の巻取り長さが分かるようにした釣糸等の定長測長または長さ測定のための器具で釣糸等の絡みつきを防止できるとともにより正確な定長測長または長さ測定が可能である。

SOLUTION: In this apparatus for measuring a fishing line length of a fishing reel, which emits an ultrasonic wave from an ultrasonic sensor attached to a fishing reel main body to the surface of the wound fishing line of a spool, obtains data of fishing line wound diameter based on a time for the ultrasonic sensor to receive the reflected wave, measures a fishing line length from the data of the fishing line wound diameter and the number of revolutions of the spool obtained by a means for detecting the number of revolutions and displays the fishing line length, the apparatus is characterized in that the apparatus is a speed measurement means for detecting the speed of the ultrasonic wave emitted from the ultrasonic sensor and the data of the fishing line wound diameter are obtained based on the speed of ultrasonic wave measured by the speed measurement means.
