      SOLUTION: In a brake control device, a brake unit comprises a first port connected to a master cylinder through piping, a second port connected to a wheel cylinder through piping, a first switch valve switching conducting and interrupting of the first port and the second port, a second fluid pressure source, a liquid absorber storing brake fluid in the master cylinder moved by brake pedal operation of a driver, a branching oil passage connecting the first port and the liquid absorber, and a second switch valve switching conducting and interrupting of the branching oil passage.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and compact hydraulic control unit for brake wherein the structure of a housing is not affected by the capacity of a reservoir and the capacity of a pulsation damping machine.
      SOLUTION: This hydraulic control unit for brake has the housing 11 with a built-in pump, the reservoir 13 which stores an operation fluid, and a hydraulic control valve. The working fluid which is stored in the reservoir 13 is pumped up by the pump, and made to return to a hydraulic circuit. At the same time, switching for the discharge of the working fluid from the hydraulic circuit to the reservoir 13 is performed by the hydraulic control valve, and the brake fluid pressure is controlled by this hydraulic control unit for brake. In the hydraulic control unit for brake, the reservoir 13 is formed as a separate unit from the housing 11 and attached to the housing 11. Also, the pulsation damping machine 14 which reduces the operating sound of the pump is formed as a separate body from the housing 11 as well, and attached to the housing 11.
