    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a battery having a seal member which can restrain penetration of an electrolyte and is made of EPDM rubber.
      SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for a battery having a battery case 40 for housing an electrode and the electrolyte and the seal member 12 blocking an opening 44 of the battery case 40 and made of the EPDM rubber, the manufacturing method for a battery 100 includes a process of preparing an EPDM rubber molded body which is the EPDM rubber used as the seal member and is an existing rubber product, a plastic deforming process of plastically deforming the prepared EPDM rubber molded body by compressing it, and a process of arranging so as to block the opening 44 of the battery case 40 while plastically deforming by compressing the plastically-deformed EPDM rubber plastically-deformed body 12.
