摘要： This invention provides a video conversation/monitoring system that has a remote monitoring function and remote peripheral device control function in addition to a video-phonic conversation function, and is suitable for various user-intended guidance services. The system consists of a center station (2) and multiple end stations (3, 4) linked through the ISDN network (1). The center station includes a video conversation/monitoring means (5), video input means (7), video output means (6), audio input means (30), audio output means (28), system controller (9), facsimile (8) and ISDN line terminating unit (14), and each end station includes a video conversation/monitoring means (10), system controller (16), first video input means (12), second video input means (15), audio input means (321), audio output means (322), calling means (29), first notification means (110), second notification means (109), detection means (108), facsimile (13) and ISDN line terminating unit (14). Based on the remote monitoring function of the video input means and the remote control function of the system controller for switching the video input means, various guidance services are accomplished in addition to the video-phonic conversation service. The integrated unit enables easy desk-top installation, the application of the ISDN network reduces the communication cost, and the provision of various state detection means in the end stations enables the image-based monitoring and state monitoring in addition to the conversation.

摘要： A communication system adapted to send and receive electronic mail between terminal devices through a server and digital data network such that a user of calling terminal device would incur no communication expense when there is no electronic mail addressed to the calling terminal device even if the calling terminal device makes a call to the server. The server extracts an address of a calling terminal device and determines whether there is any electronic mail addressed to the calling terminal device before establishing line connection between the calling terminal device and itself. The server then refuses the call from the calling terminal device if there is no electronic mail addressed to the calling terminal device.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplex transmission device or the like which performs traffic control and abandonment priority control in an ATM network 2 where IP packets to which a plurality of QoS conditions are set are transferred. SOLUTION: The multiplex transmission device for transmitting an IP packet 3 to the ATM network 2 is provided with an intermediately generated packet generation means 12 which generates an intermediately generated packet (CPS packet) having second header information 'CID' on the basis of first header information 'DSCP' of the IP packet 3, a buffer storage means 13 which stores the intermediately generated packet in one of a lot of buffers 141 to 14n waiting for sending on the basis of the second header information 'CID', a taking-out means which takes out the intermediately generated packet from buffers 141 to 14n waiting for sending in accordance with the second header information 'CID', and ATM cell transmission means 17 and 18 which put the taken-out intermediately generated packet on an ATM cell 4 to transmit it to the ATM network 2.

SOLUTION: The telephone call is processed by a method wherein a power supply for a remote cellular telephone is switched on to search a local cellular tower (S102). Once the remote cellular tower is found by the local cellular telephone, a link is established (S104). At this time point, the remote cellular telephone and the local cellular tower are in communicated state and the remote cellular telephone receives the incoming call or the same is ready to transmit a transmitting call (S106). In a process (S110) wherein the remote cellular telephone is used to transmit the call, the local cellular tower receives the call and connects the call to a ground circuit to complete the reception (S108). A service provider network transmits a telephone number and a call sign code information to the receiving telephone (S112). The receiving telephone receives the telephone number and the call sign information to decode them (S114). The receiving telephone produces a specified call sign and notify the incoming call (S116).
