    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to reduce inclination of exposure means with bend which cannot be observed by an optical sensor.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: inclination amount detection means 17, 19 for detecting first inclination amount of image data from one end to the other end in a main-scanning direction, based on the main-scanning direction; inclination amount storage means 40 for storing second inclination amount from the one end to the other end in the main-scanning direction when inclination of the image data changes in an opposite direction in an arbitrary position in the main-scanning direction; correction amount calculation means 39 for calculating a correction amount associated with the main-scanning direction by increasing/reducing the first inclination amount with the second inclination amount, at the position in the main-scanning direction; and image correction means 35 which controls read timing according to the correction amount, in reading the image data line by line in the main-scanning direction from image data storage means, to correct an image.
