摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a skew correcting unit that performs skew correction by dividing an input image that has undergone a halftone process into image data in a predetermined skew correction area in a main scanning direction and by shifting the image data in the skew correction area in a sub-scanning direction; an edge detecting unit that detects whether a pixel at a division position is an edge pixel based on concentrations of a set of pixels including the pixel at the division position; a correction area determining unit that, if detected that the pixel at the division position is the edge pixel, determines a correction area that is an area of pixels including the edge pixel to be subjected to concentration correction within the skew correction area; and an edge correcting unit that corrects concentrations of the pixels within the correction area.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical apparatus in which the lighting position of a light beam is varied while varying pixel clock and phase, to provide an image forming apparatus and to provide a method of controlling the optical apparatus. SOLUTION: Firstly, an APC lighting signal (shown in Fig.8(c)) in which the lighting terminating position of the light beam lighting range is varied is generated (Step S701), secondly, an APC lighting signal (shown in Fig.8(d)) in which the lighting beginning position of the light beam lighting range is varied is generated (Step S702), and the light beam lighting range is varied toward the scanning terminating side in a main scanning direction. In the APC lighting signal (shown in Fig.8(c)) after varying the lighting terminating position, the APC lighting position is varied toward the scanning terminating side in the main scanning direction, and the lighting beginning position always stays before the lighting terminating position. Thus, the beginning and the terminating of the APC lighting are performed during one scanning process, and a series of operations are completed. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration in image quality when outputting an image at an image-shifting position during skew-correction. SOLUTION: When starting positional deviation correction, positional deviation correction patterns generated by a positional deviation correction pattern generating unit are formed on a transfer belt (SA-1). Detection sensors detect the correction patterns (SA-2), and amounts of magnification correction in the main-scanning direction with respect to a reference color and amounts of mis-registration in the main- and the sub-scanning direction are calculated (SA-3). The amount of skew with respect to the reference color is then calculated (SA-4), and a dividing position in the main-scanning direction for performing skew-correction and a correction direction are determined (SA-5). Regarding the dividing position in the main-scanning direction for performing the skew-correction, possible dividing-positions are also determined beforehand, and a calculated dividing position and each of the possible dividing positions are compared with one another. Then, a possible dividing position closest to the calculated dividing position is set as the dividing position in the main-scanning direction for performing skew-correction (SA-6). The image forming device adjusts a high frequency clock frequency according to a result of measuring two point synchronization interval in each color, and corrects a main scanning magnification by controlling the number of pixels where a pixel clock being no reference period by the pixel clock control means is inserted, and its insertion interval. SOLUTION: This facsimile equipment 100 is provided with a PC interface part 12 which enables bidirectional transmission/reception, while being connected through centronics or RS-232C to a PC 200. When image data are received while thinning is set to the facsimile equipment 100, the PC 200 displays the transferred thinned image data on a display screen and permits an operator select the validity/invalidity of thinning function. As a result, the facsimile equipment 100 activates the setting of validity/invalidity in thinning and outputs records. Further, the facsimile equipment 100 has plural thinning rates and can output the records at the thinning rate, selected by the operator on the PC 200 as well.
