    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner drum type image forming apparatus capable of vacuum sucking a recording medium in a simple and inexpensive configuration so as to tightly adhere a thin plate recording medium of an optional size over the entire inner circumference surface of the inner drum. SOLUTION: The inner drum type image forming apparatus functions to record an image by holding a thin plate recording medium 22 on the inner circumference surface in a semicircle arc cross section formed in the inner drum 34 and deflecting a light beam modulated in accordance with image information by an optical deflector to scan and expose the medium, wherein a plurality of grooves for vacuum suction are formed along the circumference on the inner circumference surface of the inner drum 34, and the vacuum suction grooves in the top end side of the recording medium along the conveying direction are perforated to form vacuum suction holes to suck air as connected. Thus, while a recording medium 22 is vacuum sucked on the inner circumference surface of the inner drum, the rear end of the recording medium 22 along the conveying direction is pushed to the inner circumference surface of the inner drum 34 by a floating preventive device 58 so as to keep the tightly adhered state of the recording medium 22 over the entire inner circumference surface of the inner drum 22.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when the width of a plate which can be mounted on a drum of an external surface drum type image recording device is increased, a punch formation position for a plate needs to be changed to maintain precision of a drawing position, the problem that the cost rises when the number of punchers is merely increased, and the problem that a necessary puncher can not be arranged at a position where a punch hole is to be formed owing to conflict of punch standards, etc.
      SOLUTION: The plate prepared on an upper plate 41 of a feed/discharge unit 20 is supplied to a drum 21 after various punch holes are formed at its front end by a punch unit 23. The punch unit 23 has six punchers movably arranged. Consequently, punch holes can be formed at 12 positions. Further, a punch hole for engagement with a positioning pin on the drum and a punch hole for releasing the pin can selectively be formed by the same puncher.
