    • PURPOSE:To correct the variation of a center frequency due to a processing error by forming a cylindrical or square hole of the prescribed depth at an end of a radio wave absorbing member and extruding a metallic screw at the bottom of said hole to form an impedance matching part. CONSTITUTION:A block-shaped radio wave absorbing member covers a part or whole of the area inside the cross section of a waveguide. While a cylindrical hole 6 having the depth set at about 1/2 wavelength and a radius (a) is formed at an end of a uniform part 3 of a terminator of the radio wave absorbing member. A screw 5 satisfying a>>d (d: screw diameter) is set at the bottom of the hole 6 so that it is protruded toward the tube axis by about 1/4 wavelength. The screw 5 and the hole 6 form a matching part 4 for terminator. Thus it is possible to correct easily the variation of a center frequency due to a processing error by controlling the length of the projected axis of the screw 5.

    • PURPOSE:To use the titled terminator for a large power and also to improve heat dissipation effect by providing a metallic body processed in taper in the inside of a waveguide for terminator and adhering closely a plate shape radio wave absorbing body on a slope of the metallic body. CONSTITUTION:A tapered metallic body (metallic body having triangle cross section) 4 is provided on the plane E of a waveguide 1 and a thin radio wave absorbing body 5 is fitted along the slope. Since even the thin radio wave absorbing body 5 attenuates sufficiently a microwave, the same effect as the case that a tapered radio wave absorbing body is fitted to the plane E of the waveguide is obtained equivalently thereby improving the heat dissipation effect without giving effect on the reflecting characteristic. Thus, thermal deformation exerted to the radio wave absorbing body 5 is reduced and the body is used with much power. Further, it is not required to shape the radio absorbing body to a taper form and a thin plate is used, then the production cost of the radio wave absorbing body is less.

Thus it is possible to correct easily the variation of a center frequency due to a processing error by controlling the length of the protruded axis of the screw 5.

      SOLUTION: The waveguide reflectionless terminator includes: a waveguide section 1 having a rectangular aperture within a plane perpendicular to a radio wave propagation direction, one end of which in the radio wave propagation direction is opened and the other end of which is closed by a termination metallic inner wall 25, and surrounded by a first metallic inner wall a short side of the aperture of which includes a radio wave propagation space and located in parallel with the electric field of the radio wave, a second metallic inner wall opposed to the first metallic inner wall, a third metallic inner wall including a long side of the aperture and located perpendicular to the electric field of the radio wave, and a fourth metallic inner wall opposed to the third metallic inner wall; and a radio wave absorbing body 22 whose outer shape is a rectangular parallelepiped shape, the rear end face of a rectangular parallelepiped shape of which is located at a position apart from a termination metallic inner wall by a prescribed distance in parallel with its inner wall face, and a face with a maximum area of the rectangular parallelepiped shape of which is placed on the third or fourth metallic inner wall.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a waveguide terminating set, by providing a stopper being against a terminal resistance, on the end of a waveguide. CONSTITUTION:In a waveguide 1, a stopper 5 is provided on the inside surface of the end of whch a terminal resistance body 2 is installed, so that the tip of the resistance body hits against it and is fixed even in case when the terminal resistance body has been inserted from the outside. As for the stopper 5, it is suitable to use a metallic pawl provided on the inside surface of the waveguide, or a strip. As a result, a general waveguide can also be used as a terminating set by welding or soldering the stopper onto the inside surface of the waveguide, therefore, the number of man-hour for working is reduced, and an inexpensive waveguide terminating set is obtained.
