When it rotates by almost 60 degrees, the electron gun 1 starts to fall by its own weight and the getter 4 rotates and is positioned in its direction just below the electron gun by its own weight. When the getter further rotates up to almost vertical posture, the electron gun 1 falls perfectly, respective terminal pins 9 engage with the corresponding specified pin engaging holes 24, 24a and then engage with the straight portions 22, 22a through the tapered portions 23, 23a and the gun is directed perfectly toward the specified direction.

The assembled electrode and the sealing part 20 are sealed together by welding and thereby an electron tube can be formed. All junction areas are inclined and thereby degree of manufacturing of metallic parts can be drastically eased, cost of parts can be cut, yield of parts can be also improved. Moreover, hermetical sealing characteristic is much improved by increment of sealing areas.
