    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving luminance as a backlight of a liquid crystal display panel by increasing the luminous flux of a cold cathode fluorescent tube and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The cold cathode fluorescent tube CCFL applied on a backlight installed at the rear face of a liquid crystal display panel of a liquid crystal display device is provided with a translucent glass tube VAL in which rare gas and mercury are sealed, a pair of cold cathodes ELE which are sealed and arranged oppositely at both ends of this glass tube VAL, a power lead-in wire LE of which one end is connected to the cold cathode ELE and the other end is lead out to the outside of the glass tube VAL by being airtightly sealed, a phosphor film FLU which is formed on the inner periphery face of the glass tube VAL. The phosphor film FLU is formed by sucking and applying a phosphor suspension which is prepared by mixing and re-agitating the phosphor to a suspension in which a mixed solvent of a butyl acetate and nitro-cellose is strongly agitated.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead wire suitable for components of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp, a lead wire member equipped with the lead wire, an electrode member, and the cold cathode fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: The lead wire (an inner lead wire 14i) is a wire for supplying power to an electrode part 13 of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 10, and with a glass part 15 for sealing a glass tube 12 to house the electrode part 13 welded. The glass part 15 is structured of a lead-free soft glass. The lead wire is formed from an Fe-Ni alloy composed of Ni by 51 mass% or more and 55 mass% or less, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities. The lead wire made of the Fe-Ni alloy containing Ni in a specific range, is restrained from being contracted excessively without rapidly increasing a thermal expansion coefficient of the lead wire in the vicinity of a critical temperature due to the large difference between its transformation point and the critical temperature at which stress accumulates in the lead-free soft glass when the temperature reaches the transition temperature or lower.
