Then, coining sections 141-143 at a diameter of approximately 5.2mm and depths of 0-0.01mm are formed coaxially with a coining section 12 with a second coining section. Besides, electron beam passing holes 131-133 are perforated and created at their center. As a result, the protrusion at the peripheral edge of the first coining section 12 can be removed by a second coining section 14 and the degree of parallelism and flatness can be improved.

These four kinds of parameter are specified for balancing the vertical-and-horizontal focusing forces in order to remove astigmatism. Accordingly, the range of g4 is so set up as to satisfy the relation of the formula I . Thereby, a good spot property can be obtained so as to remarkably improved resolution of a picture tube.
