    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun capable of adjusting a wide range of focus states by an electron gun with one kind of structure.
      SOLUTION: An electron gun 6 comprises an electron beam forming portion 8 (cathode K, G1 electrode, G2 electrode) for forming an electron beam, and an electron beam focusing portion 9 (G3 electrode, G4 electrode, G5A electrode, G5B electrode, G5C electrode, G6 electrode). The electron beam focusing portion 9 has a first focus adjusting lens for changing divergence angles of electron beams, in the same manner between horizontal direction and perpendicular direction, and a second focus adjusting lens that permits the focus adjustment of the electron beams independently of the first focus adjusting lens. A first focus voltage (Vf1) is impressed on the G3 electrode. A dynamic focus voltage (Vf2+Vd), superimposed by a dynamic voltage (Vd) synchronized with the deflection of a second focus (Vf2), is impressed on the G5C electrode.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condensing lens structure for a cathode ray tube electron gun having three parallel beams. SOLUTION: This invention is related to an electron gun of a color cathode-ray tube equipped with two continuous electrodes. The two electrodes have three serial openings, respectively. a tip end of the electrode 150 on which a convergence voltage is impressed has a plate 110 having serial openings 100, 101, 102. The plate is bent so that the openings 100, 102 at side parts locate on a plane different from that of the central opening. The peripheral part 151 of the electrode 150 has an inside peripheral edge part 120 extending along a longitudinal direction Z of which a depth 170 at a side opening area is different from a depth 171 at a central opening area. Two main functions of the condensing lens can control the difference of convergence between side beams and a central beam and the difference of asigmatism of the central beam against that of side beams individually.       SOLUTION: The structure of the color cathode-ray tube device includes a bulb, a phosphor screen, an electronic gun, and a deflector, and a focus electrode 13, a first field correction electrode 15, an anode electrode 14, and a second field correction electrode 16 form an electronic lens in which, by the impression of a focusing voltage on the focus electrode 13 and the first field correction electrode 15, and by the impression of an anode voltage higher than the focusing voltage on the anode electrode 14 and the second field correction electrode 16, the focusing force in vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction is stronger than the focusing force in horizontal direction inside the focus electrode 13, and the dispersing force in the vertical direction is stronger than the dispersing force in the horizontal direction inside the anode electrode 14.
